Embrace Change

The biggest results come from many small changes

Kaizen guided us expertly through a journey to not only understand social investment, but to build up an arm of the organisation which is now fully sustainable, growing and has achieved external accreditation for quality – CEO, Solihull Life Opportunities

How we use these principles;

  1. Continuous improvement – by working with kaizen, organisations take small, incremental steps over time that result in sustainable change.
  2. Customer first – value is defined from the perspective of the final customer.
  3. Inclusion – Kaizen is an employee friendly way to bring about step by step change over time. Activities therefore involve employees at all levels, with an emphasis on employees working on the front-line.
  4. Efficiency – building the right quantity, of the right service, at the right time – and provide only what is needed – by the customer.

We aim to incorporate these principles into every project and investment we undertake.

Principles of Social Value

We bring new investment practices that draw on our social value expertise, where social value is a core component of the overall value proposition.

We work with Advanced Accredited Social Value Practitioners (with Social Value UK) to develop investment models that optimise the social value for all stakeholders whilst also bringing a financial return. We do this through using the Social Value International Standards and Principles.

The ‘bookends’ of the social value principles approach are to start with understanding stakeholders’ perspectives & needs and to act on that increased understanding.

A principle-driven social value approach ensures greater transparency around persistent ‘pain points’ and drives improved accountability for investments.

Optimising impact

Best practice in Social Value accounting is embedded into business evaluations and forecasts to ensure that social impact is optimised.
