What we did

  • Attended roundtable discussions with stakeholders including New Cross Hospital, the CCG Wolverhampton, Wolverhampton Voluntary Sector Council, Public Health and Wolverhampton City Council
  • Identified the biggest costs to the NHS were older people, living alone in poverty admitted to hospital
  • Designed a project and secured feasibility funding from the Lottery Commissioning for Better Outcomes Fund to develop a new funding and delivery model called a Social Impact Bond
  • Engaged with stakeholders
